Yahoo!, the world's largest online network of integrated services with more than 500 million users worldwide, challenged Levelthree to manage their employee recognition "Service Awards Program." Yahoo! celebrates the five and ten year anniversaries of their employees with gifts; but sourcing the gifts and making sure they arrive on time can be tricky when you employ as many people as Yahoo! So they turned to Levelthree for support and imaginative solutions.
Solution
Yahoo!'s network employs people at 84 different locations across the planet. Logistically, Levelthree recognized that in order to deliver gifts to Yahoo! employees nearest to the day of their anniversary, that a partnership with an international warehouse was necessary. And with access to vast catalogs of fun, interesting gifts, the Levelthree Product Fulfillment Team was able to offer Yahoo! just about anything under the sun. For five year anniversaries, Yahoo! selected to give employees a purple gumball machine. For ten year anniversaries, Yahoo! employees are awarded a sleek espresso maker. Levelthree receives and stores the products either in house, or in a partner warehouse, depending on where the Yahoo! employee works. The seamless communication channels were developed to make it as easy as possible for the Yahoo! team to share with Levelthree which employees will be celebrating milestone anniversaries with the company, ensuring that every employee is recognized for their valuable contributions.
